Fun with Fondant

My first ever, self-taught attempts at using fondant. Not my favorite medium...I much prefer buttercream for decorating, as well as taste!

(my bow flopped =( I guess that's why they say to leave it to dry overnight...lesson learned!)

Dora the Explorer

I made this Dora the Explorer cake for my daughter's third birthday. It was my first time using a character pan, so I did a trial run first. I think this is the picture of the trial cake.

Wilton Class Cakes

Here are some of my cakes from my Wilton I and II classes, in October and November of 2007.

First cake ever!
Wilton I final cake - rose bouquet. Everyone in the class had cakes that were the same colors (yellow base, white border, purple flowers, pink bow, etc).
